Text - Linking an Asset or Page
Description
Allow text to become clickable hyperlink within AEM.
Authoring
Click on the Wrench > Highlight the word/phrase that you want to turn into a hyperlink > Click on the Hyperlink button (Chain)
Note: It is advisable to avoid using generic words or phrases such as "click here" as hyperlink labels.

Hyperlink Fields
Path
If you are:
- Linking an Asset or Page within AEM
- Click on the Open Selection Dialog box (checkbox icon) on the right side of the Path field > Locate the Asset/Page to be linked
- Linking an external site
- Put the full URL into the Path field
Alt-Text
Enter alternative descriptive text for the link.
Target Dropdown
If you are:
- Sending a user anywhere on your site
- Select Target (Default)
- Sending a user to an external site or opening a PDF
- Select New Tab
