External Audio

Description

External Audio is a component that can be used to play a single, externally-sourced audio file. When inserted, an Audio player will render for the user to play back the loaded audio.

Authoring

The External Audio component can be used to play a single audio file from a web-based media player. Users simply click on the audio player controls to use the player. Authors can add their file by entering an external audio file path into the dialog.

Configuring the Properties tab

  • Audio URL: Supply a URL for an audio file not hosted within AEM.
  • Transcript Aria Label: Supply an aria label for the Download Transcript button.
  • Transcript Location: Link to the transcript file.
  • Download Aria Label: Aria label for the Download Audio button.
