External Video
Description
This component will allow the author to place an externally hosted video within HTML5 video markup on their Agency site.
It will allow Authors to easily assign the caption tracks, support multiple caption files, and a poster for the video.
Authors can upload as many caption files as they wish, though it is recommended by DoIT to limit the caption files to six (6) caption files.
Authoring
This component may be used by authors to add an embedded video player to their site. This component allows the user to link to 1 video, and multiple components may be placed per page.
The author will need to add the video URL to the dialog box that will appear when the author selects the component from the layout section. Next, the caption files need to be uploaded, along with a Caption Language Label. This label would be displayed on the video for the ease of the site visitors to choose the caption language.
If the author has multiple caption files, they can click the "Add" button and add as many files as they wish, though it is recommended to limit the captions to 6 captions.
Once all the fields are filled in, submit the dialog box, and the external video will be displayed on the page.
Configuring the External Video Component:
Resizing the Component
The component is auto responsive, meaning, if the author adjusts the size of the window, the video resizes itself automatically.
