Authoring

The FAQ component can be used to show a list of FAQs that fall under a specific category.

  • Build a list of FAQs dynamically or manually.
  • For the dynamic option, you need to enter the FAQ root folder path, which should be /content/dam/soi/en/web/[Your agency]/content-fragments/faqs.
  • Select a category tag:
    •  If you are building a list of Global FAQs, navigate to /State of Illinois/FAQ, which is a tag folders storing tags that are relevant to multiple agencies
    • If you are building a list of FAQs that are tagged with your agency's specific FAQ tags, navigate to /State of Illinois/ILGAgency/[Your agency's acronym]/FAQ.
  • Select subcategory tag(s) as needed, which will be used to divide the FAQs into sub-sections.
  • For the manual option, you can manually select a fixed list of FAQs to display.

Configuring the Styling tab

  • Overwrite the back to top text as needed.

Update Page Properties

When a user inserts an FAQ component on the page, the Page Properties will need updated to properly reflect the type of content that is now on the page.

In Admin view, hard-select your page and click on Properties on the toolbar. Go to the Illinois Tab and change the "Content Type" dropdown from "General" to "FAQ". This ensures that all FAQ content is searchable for all agencies throughout the Illinois.gov domain.
