Redirect Page Template
Description
The Redirect Page Template can be used to redirect to an external site or an AEM page that lives under a different folder structure. In most cases, you should directly link to a page without the need to create a redirect. However, in the case where you wish for an external page to show up as part of the navigation, side navigation, or breadcrumb, the Redirect Page Template comes in handy.
Authoring
Once you have selected to create a new page using the Redirect Page Template, you should not and will not be able to edit content directly on the page.
All configurations will be done via the page properties. Select the page you created using the Redirect Page Template and click on the Properties option. In the Advanced tab, there is a Redirect field where you can enter the redirect URL.
