Agency Footer

Footer is a component that appears at the bottom of any page, above the Global Footer. The Footer houses useful links pertaining to the agency/site and links to agency social media.

Authoring

The Footer can only be edited from the website home page. Changes made to it will be automatically inherited by all the child pages.

Configuring the Properties tab

  • Enable Translate if you wish the translation options to show up as part of the Footer.
  • Back to top display: Choose from In Footer (default), Floating, or None to change how the back to top link in the footer is displayed to the user.
  • Enable Maps if you wish to use maps across the site.
  • Enable Chatbot if you wish to enable it across the site.
  • Enable Social Media Links if you wish to enable displaying of Social Media icons in the Agency Footer.

Configuring the Columns tab

This tab is utilized to display agency-specific, featured, or other important links.

  • Choose from specific Column Width layouts, with 1-5 column options available, including multiple 2 and 3 column layouts.
  • Create Column Types of:
    • Links: list of links; each with a Title, Link, and Open in New Tab option to set.
    • Text: A text RTE is used for the column and offers the same RTE functionality users come to expect.

To boost your social media presence, you can make your accounts visible on the Agency Footer.

We have a pre-set options available for popular platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Spotify, Threads, TikTok, Twitter (X), YouTube, and Eventbrite.

Additionally, you can adjust the color of these options as a whole, and even add a custom icon to link to a social media platform not in the pre-set options. It can also be used to promote any website that's relevant to your agency.

*Note: Custom Icons do not get their Icons colored by the Social Media Icon Color option.

Social Links Tab

  • Custom Social Icon Color: Enables custom social media icon colors to be applied to the Agency Footer social media logos.
  • Social Media Icon Color: Select a color to apply to the Social Media Icons.
  • Users may Add multiple social media platform links with options for setting:
    • Social Media Links: Select the social media icon to be displayed, including user-selected, Custom Icons
    • URL: Web address to the social media page
    • Open in New Tab when checked
    • Title: Add a title to provide more context for the people using assistive technology
    • [For Custom Icon Only] Custom Icon Path: Select the path for the custom icon of the additional page(s) to promote.

Configuring the Maps tab

  • Add your Maps API Key to use map components on your site (Ex. Location Finder, Events, Maps).

Configuring the Chatbot Setup tab

As of February 2024, there are 2 chatbot types with some differing options. Users are currently utilizing the Classic DialogFlow (ES) chatbot, but added options exist for the new Generative AI (DialogFlow CX) chatbot.

  • Chatbot Type: Select Classic DialogFlow or DialogFlow CX: 
  • (CX) Chatbot Project ID: Google Cloud Project ID for the chatbot.
  • (Classic/CX) Chatbot Agent ID: Agent ID for the chatbot. This is pulled in from the Google DialogFlow environment.
  • (CX) Check to collect response feedback from user: Allows end-users to rate (thumbs up/down) and submit  comments on this chatbot's responses.
  • (Classic/CX) Chatbot Title: Title the chatbot for your website.
  • (Classic/CX) Chatbot Welcome Message: Introductory welcome statement that may be specified for the end-user to see when initially interacting with the chatbot.
  • (Classic/CX) Hours to Hold the Cookie for a Closed Chatbot: The chatbot will retain it's history for a site visitor if the site visiter returns within the Author-specified amount of hours.
  • (Classic) Show Flags for language options: Flag Images will display instead of text for each supported language added to the chatbot.
  • (Classic) Add: Allows the Author to specify each, if any, additional language options that exist for this chatbot.
  • (CX) Placeholder Text: Specifies the placeholder text in the user text input field of the chatbot.
     

Note that the Footer's background color is determined by theme. To change from one theme to another, you can go to the your website's home page properties. Under the Illinois tab is an option to switch the entire site's theme.
